Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist – ISCP  Registered

Eilis is a Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist .She graduated from the University of Ulster with a BSc honors degree in Physiotherapy in 1996 and completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in Cardiff University in 2004. She is also a Certified Pilates instructor.

She is an experienced Sports Physiotherapist with experience working extensively in the UK, Australia and Ireland both in the public and private setting. She has specialized in the management of musculoskeletal, orthopedics’ and sports injuries in all patients from the young adolescent to the sporting athlete and active older patient. She is registered with the Irish Sports Council to see Elite Athletes. Her career has focused mainly on sports injuries in the areas of athletics, field and track, hockey, taekwondo, rugby, and GAA and she previously has worked with the Irish Women’s Hockey Team.

Her particular clinical expertise is in lower limb biomechanics, orthotic prescription, spinal sports and adolescent injuries.

Eilis enjoys keeping fit, having competed in field and track events when younger, but now throws her-self into the fun sport of adventure racing, and trekking and enjoys practicing and teaching Pilates.

Initial Appointment – € 55
Initial Specialized Spinal Evaluation Assessment for Back and Neck Pain – € 90
Initial Occupational Health Assessment – € 110
All Follow-up Appointments – € 55
Home visits – € 80
Orthotic Assessment – €90 (Includes assessment, gait scan and processing of orthotics) Note: Orthotics Prices can range from €25 to €195 for custom made insoles.

 

APPOINTMENTS (Available Tuesday to Friday 8am to 6pm)

Our Physiotherapist can see self-referring Patients, orthopaedic and GP Patients. To make an appointment you can contact the clinic direct or alternatively you’re GP or Consultant can send a referral to the clinic via Fax or post and our Receptionist will contact with a consultation date.  If you are currently not registered with Calderwood Family Clinic, on your initial appointment you will be required to fill out an information sheet so that a chart can be generated to document your consultations and treatment.
